The Wherry Archers was formed in 1993 to cater for the void caused by the demise of the Yarmouth Archery Club. Initially we were based at Caister Community Centre for indoor and outdoor activities. In 1997 we were asked to vacate Caister Community Center as the building was to be demolished and so we moved out outdoor shooting to Filby village playing field. Our indoor venue was moved to Hopton Village hall, we remained there until early 2009 as the village hall was being rebuilt over the winter of 2009/2010, during this time we moved our shooting to Potters Leisure Resort in Hopton.
